He'll Find A Way

Mijn geliefde familie en vrienden,

It was a great week to both end the old year and kick off the new, and as usual I have little time to tell you about it so here we go!

On Tuesday the youth in this stake were having a mini MTC activity, and we were asked by President Bunnell to participate in that. We each gave 10 minute presentations, about preparing for a mission and developing a testimony, and a little later in the activity we took them in small groups the contact people on the street for 45 minutes. A lot of them were super nervous, but I was suprised by how willing they were to try it! There's no way I could have done that at 13 or 14 years old. At the same time though, it was nice to see how much I've grown and improved over the course of my mission as I saw how these youth looked up to me as an "experienced" missionary. :) I certainly don't feel it most of the time, but I realized this week I have indeed learned a thing or two. :)

A glorious miracle this week was Glory! She was literally on our path (walked on the bike path we were biking on) so we stopped and talked to her and she agreed to meet with us! She is a super cute student from Vietnam, with little religious background, but she is super interested about various religions and is super open to trying new things. We taught her about the restoration of the church the next day and invited her to pray, to find out for herself if God exists. She did that on New Year's Eve, and she said she had a wonderful experience, where she felt warm and happy and motivated for the new year. She is so awesome! The next day we gave her a tour of the church and explained a lot more, and then she came this Sunday to church and had a great time! She felt so welcomed and every testimony in Sacrament meeting was spot on, all about how people have found joy in coming to church and living the gospel. And, there's even a member in this ward who is from Vietnam originally, who also came here as a student! Blessings, people. :)

Thursday was of course the last day of 2015, and as things tend to get quite explosive here we had to be inside at 4:00 pm. We were encouraged by President to take some of that time stuck inside to have a prayerful, soul-searching goal setting session, and it was great! 2016 will be a big year full of wonderful things, and I'm excited for it. :)

Well, that's about as much as I have time to tell you about but there were other miracles and wonderful things and God is just so good. :) I know without a doubt that even when we stumble and fall, which we surely will, He and His Son aways find a way to show us how much they love us.A line from a song called "He'll Find A Way" says, "from the thorns in His crown to the sunset-covered clouds, He'll find a way to say I love you." It is so true! And I love you all as well!
